15 Hashers . 4 runners (Wee Bev, Snack Bar, Pole Dancer & Y2KY Jelly) and 11 walkers (including Gingernuts who was supposed to write this report!) gathered at the busy Claremont RSL.

At 6:31. After a brief from the Hare about the trail we set off into the dark and cold.

There were lots  of hills and FTs (Poley did all the real ones) I did a few of my own (being distracted by some permanent Christmas tree lights) as I was doing my good host job minding Y2KY we got separated from Poley & Snacky.

At the top of a hill there was a walker-runner split. The runners’ trail went around the perimeter of a reserve before a downhill leg.

When Y2KY & I emerged from the reserve we caught up with Herr Flick & Pee Wee coming out off the bush from another direction.

At that point Y2KY decided he would rather finish the trail with them on the walkers’ trail.. while I continued downhill. 

Down Down to the railway line and around the Weston Park waterfront reserve (would have been nice in the daylight) before following the railway line all the way back to the RSL.

Was a pretty good trail…with a smattering of bush… and would-be water views!

• Spoof, Snack Bar, Pole Dancer, Grassroots, Pee Wee, & Cumonion: Representatives of the sect that spent the Highland Fling worshiping the porcelain god!

• Cumunion-> Slippery Nipple: Almost an Australian citizen!
• Arsecutter-> TopDek: Was too busy on her phone to notice the barrier on a laneway .. banged into them and knocked it out the ground.
• Grass Roots-> Arsecutter: So busy window shopping (or checking out his reflection in shop windows) stumbled and rolled his ankle!
• Growler -> Uber: Having dinner at an RSL last night … reported it was going to be 1C at our run tonight.. Didn’t notice that it was Queenstown NZ weather he was looking at!
• Arsecutter -> Pee Wee: At the Fling he had some lost property returned to him… only to leave it behind again! 
• Cumunion -> Growler : Collected a pretty Stone on the run to use as her cat Gracie’s headstone… Cat is not dead yet!
• Poley -> Wee Bev, Snack Bar and Y2KJelly for making him run all the False trails.
• Spoof-> Arsecutter & Grassroots. Representatives of the organisers of a successful Fling.
• Poley -> For those who thought Gowrie Park was not good enough for them and stayed at ‘Brokeback mountain retreat’… Only place with poo water in the spa! 
• Growler -> Snack Bar: Growler was sharing accommodation with Snacky and Fringe Benefits. .. Was encouraging them to get ready for Hash. Snacky said not to worry ‘cos he only takes 5 minutes to get ready… but didn’t mention the 10 minutes he needs to spend on the toilet beforehand!
