Run Reporter: C#n’t Stop

This past Monday, Uber set Run Number 1499 at Benjafield Park, drawing 24 enthusiastic walkers and runners. Uber’s only memorable contribution to the briefing was the announcement of a “piss stop.”

We started at the far end of the park, heading down the street past the school, and then back up the road. It was there that the runners — Red Dress, Maximus, Poledancer,TicToc Prickit, and Can’t Stop — separated from the main group of walkers. The trail continued along the highway and into Moonah, past my old address, down Gormanston Road to Moonah School, and then along the old train tracks.

Poledancer, Prickit, and TicToc took the shorter walking trail, while the rest of us continued. We made our way back up Sunderland Street, through the walkway, and finally returned to Benjafield Park, where the “piss stop” was located. Nancy Boy and Cumonion had already started cooking, and luckily, a drop sheet was set up to shield us from the bitter wind and cold.

There was a larger turnout of country members than usual, with most of us having recently returned from China and other overseas trips. Pullit also mentioned the Herrim gig.

• Snack Bar: Went to the Oasis concert and got so excited that he let off his flare.
• Twinkletoes: The Hare should have brought a tarp to John Turnbull Park to shelter the pack from the howling spring Hobart gales.
• C#n’t Stop: Wore his made in China socks to match his made in China shoes.
• Pullit/Port (no one can tell me the correct Hash name): Hash Harem run on the 26th of November.
• Snack Bar: Bought himself a “genuine” pair of Hoka’s for 130 Chinese yuan ($30AUD) in Shanghai and was wondering why they gave him a rash and fell apart during the first kilometre.
• Can’t Remembers: Top Dek, Pee Wee, C#n’t Stop, Prickit, Red Dress, Grizzly, Lone Arranger, Snack Bar, Zero, Arsecutter and Port/Pullit.

A note from Pee Wee: Nash Hash 2027 Ballina NSW

Nash Hash seems a long way off, but there seems there are a good number of Tassie Hashers from all clubs who are joining the ‘Gray Nomads’ brigade and have camper homes, caravans, camper trailers etc.

My thoughts are, if enough are interested to make up a convoy to depart all on the same ferry, slowly travel to Ballina and Hash on the way. Route and stopovers to be decided by the group. All staying in the same caravan park in Ballina.

The reason for such an early notice is to book ferry places and any caravan parks on the way. Short notice bookings on the ferry is nigh impossible.
