Chardonnay’s Blue Glove Trail

A good group of Hashers arrived in warming sunshine; the weather gods were kind after a showery day. The group gathered at the lower barbecue area, with real people using the upper BBQ area. We were assured by Grassroots that by the time the Hashers returned after the run the upper BBQ area would be ours.

Dyke had set up a table with homemade relish and jams as a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer. He was closely followed by Grassroots setting up Chilli Jams and relishes on a separate table. Hashers were warned prior to Hash that they needed to raid their money boxes and pay in cash. It appeared that a good number of wares were sold for a good cause. Bad News was also handing out his homegrown super-hot chillies, obviously now in season. Unfortunately, there were no sexual favours on offer as suggested by Snack Bar in last week’s trash!

The run started more or less on time at 6.31pm by Grassroots with the promise of a piss stop and a cocktail thrown in for good measure! It was a pleasant 4km walk and 5+km run around the upper levels of the Queens Domain. Some Hashers lost trail about halfway along Max’s Infinity Loop with the usual issue of local wildlife eating the FT flour marker. But with a bit of resourcefulness and cross-country Hashing, Herr Flick called ‘On On’ further along the Infinity Loop. All Hashers made it to a great piss stop and it was enjoyed by all.

Grassroots had cooked up a storm, providing us with loaded potatoes and accompaniments followed by sticky date pudding and ice cream for dessert.

A lively lip session followed with lots of skols and mirth. Thanks Grassroots (and Arsecutter) for all your hard work and a great night.

• Sonar & Dyke — Both parked in the disabled parking spots.
• Ready Nip — Forgotten all about Hash, blindly followed Snack Bar up into the bush. False Trail.
• Uber — Saw Cumonion, trying on kilts, said she needed a bigger kilt.
• Can’t Stop — Turned up for the food. No Run. First to get served.
• Red Dress — Served himself first with ice cream for the sticky date, then had to serve all the other Hashers.
• TAP, Tarzan’s Grope, W3, Bad News, Ready Nip — Can’t remembers.
• Dyke — In the absence of Hooray, told the broccolli joke.
• Can’t Stop — Clearfell did not turn up, still traumatised from premature milestone.
• Snack Bar —  Great Lawyer, man of integrity, his word is his bond. Stated that he was never ever going to Bali again. Going to Bali in May.
