Chardonnay’s Wee Flick Off Trail

A small pack of 21 gathered at Tolmans Hill for the run of the year, according to Flicky.  Inclement weather and illness had reduced pack size from the heights of runners we have been getting recently.  

There was an NDIS,  walk and runners trail set on dribble dropper and shredded paper that commenced across the bridge over the highway south, and the temperature was headed the same direction! 

Runners and walkers left the confines of the footpath and jumped the Armco rail into the bush. I would have followed but given I currently have a dicky ankle, discretion became me and I followed the NDIS trail towards the car park near the fire staion.  This led to crossing trails with the walkers and runners emerging from said bush to cross the Mt Nelson road and towards football ground whilst myself, LA, Cumonion and Crusher negotiated the various bush paths that lead to the Hobart college western most  car park. We limped through the car park and back into the bush to follow trail back towards the piss stop.

Meeting up with the runners and walkers trail cumming in from the south, we ambled into a well stocked piss stop,  with numerous cans of Kilkenny being consumed by the NDIS walkers before the rest of the pack could get there. 

Then it was back to the On On where Wee Bev was slaving over a hot BBQ with salad,  Thai chicken burgers, beef burgers and fat veggie burgers available to fill empty tummies. 

Great NDIS run, not sure about the runners and walkers but they seemed satisfied, so thumbs up all round.

Lip: Uber

• Herr Flick & Wee Bev – Hares. “Hell hole”, “wet and miserable”, “rough track, not enough pavement”, “Flick lied about where the PS would be”. It was a very good trail – pack of whingers!
• Can’t Stop & Snack Bar – dumb and dumber; both soon to be grandfathers.
• Growler – elite sportsperson; won the Open Bowls Championship.
• Cumonion & In The Raw (& Grizzly) – Hash Cash chaos meeting; ten weeks in and still haven’t gotten the Square thingy to work properly.
• Brazilian, Clearfell & Lone Arranger – Bream Creek Show shenanigans; Brazilian and Clearfell couldn’t locate their car in the car park, while LA couldn’t find Grizzly on the bus even though he was sitting only three rows behind her.
• Clearfell – 600 R*ns milestone.
• Chris Miss & In The Raw – can’t remembers.
• Chris Miss – checking trail in the car park when a big black man stepped out of his car; Can’t Stop ruined her night be turning up.
• Herr Flick & Wee Bev – far coughing to the Greek Isles.

Skols from the floor:

• Cumonion & Lone Arranger – NDIS first to the p!ss stop; secreting Kilkenny cans for to pay rightful homage to the GM and Hash Lip.
• Hooray – checking for trail in the car park then called ‘on’; it was spray paint markings, not trail.
• Crusha – Flick and Bev arrived early, only to find Crusha already there drinking Kilkenny! Can collecting pays well.
• Snack Bar – parked his ute nose-in to the verge, thereby blocking half the road.
