Chardonnay’s ¡Ay, caramba! Trail – R*n 1403

A small but select group of hashers assembled in the freezing cold of Montague Bay. It had been warm at Dodges Ferry and on the Western Shore… but here at MB we had no sun and a chilling sea breeze.

A number of folks were keen to start the r*n/walk before the allotted start time of 6:31. We eventually set off towards the lonesome public toilet where we found our first check.  A false trail up Kellatie Road caught Jack Shit & Poley.  The rest of the pack were caught wondering where the F*x the trail had gone.  Bart shouted direction and we eventually found trail on the walkway past the ship’s chandlers below Rosny Esplanade.

Jack Shit was already leading the runners along towards his place where he had spotted trail earlier in the day.Billie and I were on the walking trail changing first places with Dyke and Jaffa with Herr Flick and ITR not far behind while the remainder of those able followed at a leisurely pace.

We followed the Rosny Esplanade round to the absent GM, Softy’s, house where Billie thought we were on the runners’ trail and wanted to head back to the footpath towards the Rosny sh!t works.  I had to re-educated her… Our walkers trail then did a loop down Ninda St and back up Nimala St.  Dyke and Jaffa insisted we jog a bit to be out of sight of the rear end walkers to make sure they did not short cut!

We were glad the FT up the steps towards Leura street only went one fifth up the stairs… Dyke I would have gone all the way and put the FT at the top!😊

We continued along Bastick Street then climbed up towards the Rosny Lookout rat run before heading down Riawena Road the right into Conara road towards Montague Bay Primary and the path back to the Piss Stop on the waterfront in Montague Bay where the runners were already waiting for us and the champagne was already popped.

The ON ON

Most hashers brought their meat with them… others brought something in plastic containers that did not require heating. In the absence of LA , salads were provided by Brazilian, Wee Bev and Slippery Nipple.

And in the absence of Grizzly, Hands On took charge of the council BBQs and Billie and Charlie enjoyed all BBQ scraps that were tossed in their direction.

DOWN DOWNS

After dinner there was the Lip Session. Growler was the first one to notice that no one was performing the duties of the Hash Flash, so stepped in to help out while I took the following notes.

• Herr Flick… For speaking loudly about pink d*cks.. or was it Pink’s D*ck.. not sure!

From the floor:

• Snacky -> Dyke . He was observed verbally abusing a motorist who had right of way…but got in his way when he war riding home after the OAP bike hash on Wednesday morning
• Herr Flick -> Hooray!  Apparently one of tourists that Hooray was guiding gave him a $10 tip to not tell any more jokes!
• Herr Flick-> Jack Shit .. Christmiss is off on the mainland so he can have steak on the BBQ instead of tofu or lettuce.
• Wee Bev-> Herr Flick for taking her out for belated anniversary with a voucher he got as a gift from a work client.
• Poley-> Harriettes: Growler, Hands On, Wee Bev, Brazilian, Grass Roots, Xena and Slippery as a celebration of International Womens’ day. What more could we ask for?
• ArseCutter sculled for announcing the venue for The Highland Fling… before Grizzly has had a chance to do the flier!.. Gowrie Park here we come !
